For over twenty years, Josh Coté has made wire sculptures that revolutionize the idea of form. His sculptures have found homes in private collections, museums, businesses, and public parks. Working in wire, Josh plays with the dichotomies of darkness and light; realism and abstraction; good and evil; and human and animal. His works are highly expressive and capture motion and figure in a singular fashion.
All sculptures are painstakingly hand-worked from copper, steel, or aluminum wire, often only using pliers and other simple tools. Some also incorporate fascinating found objects, hand painting, and clay. Browse the galleries below for examples of Josh Coté's work. Most items depicted are sold, but some are available in the Shop.
