Hurricane Helene hit Western North Carolina with a strength and horror like nothing the area has ever seen before. We are grateful to have survived with our home intact and our family, including our baby, in good health. We were lucky to have sustained no damage to our buildings or materials. We hope our customers will consider donating to one of the many wonderful relief organizations working to help Western NC recover.
We hope you will continue to support us as well through ordering commissions, especially as the galleries in Western North Carolina where Josh sells a great deal of his work are unlikely to be able to make the level of sales they normally do. So if you've ever wanted one of Josh's creations but were on the fence, now is a great time! I was proud to receive an Artist Support Grant this year from the Toe River Arts Council. It enabled me to purchase my new Lincoln squarewave TIG welder, which I used to build my new public sculpture in downtown Morganton NC, Folie a Deux, a sHared Madness. Since TIG welders allow you to weld many more types of metal together than your typical welder, expect to see more fascinating metal amalgamations from me in the months and years to come!
