Son of Dog
Son of Dog parodies the ubiquitous Head of Christ painting by Warner Sallman. Playfully remaking the piece entirely with images of dogs, Josh Coté invites the viewer to question the dogma (ha) and seriousness of both popular devotional art and religion.
Hand-cut collage featuring pieces from magazines. Handmade and burnt pine frame with cut and nailed steel. 43" tall by 36.5" wide, approximately 45 lbs.
Important Note: Shipping & Handling Charges for Items in the Shop
Since these pieces and quantities are unique, we need to calculate shipping & handling charges manually for each order. If you'd like to know what the charges are before placing your order, please reach out on our contact page, let us know the items you're interested in and your address, and we will send you a quote. We will send an invoice after you order for the shipping & handling charges. Unfortunately, the checkout feature will say "free shipping"; there is no way to change this, but please be aware that the shipping is not free. We apologize for any confusion. Thank you.
